‘The Herbivore’ is a blog written by vegans for vegans.

In this meat-obsessed world, it can feel pretty lonely being a vegan, especially when you are the only one in your family or live in a rural area. Moreover, if you are someone like me who sometimes struggles to keep a positive attitude when it appears that so many people simply do not care about animal rights or the planet, having a community is important. This is not a place where ‘but…bacon?’ will be uttered, nor is it a place where you have to fight to have your voice be heard. Rather my goal is to create a happy carefree environment where we can all gather together and share our ideas and hopes for a green future. From skincare to new restaurant finds I will be exploring all things vegan that I come into contact with and give you an idea of how you can both expand your diet and live a more cruelty-free life. I also intend to publish a few satirical articles here and there in response to the most absurd questions we receive on the daily, who doesn’t love an inside joke?

If you would like to write a blog post or promote your vegan products then please contact me at theherbivoreblog@gmail.com. All blog posts should be no more than 2,000 words and specify if you want to be anonymous, if not then include your name and social media links. I would love to hear from you no matter how long you have been vegan and I shall send all contributors a free engraved pencil as a thank you.

Much love to you all and keep fighting the good fight!
